On Saturday May 9th, 2009 the inaugural Oyster River Festival was held in conjunction with the Bobcat Bolt road race. Check out photos from the event in the photo gallery on this website.

The Festival hopes to strengthen the relationship between Oyster River students and alumni, the University of New Hampshire, and the wider Durham community by encouraging everyone who has made their home in the Durham area to come together to commemorate the people and place that makes Durham a distinct and special community.

Under the auspices of the Oyster River Alumni Association, the Festival will also serve as an umbrella for fundraisers that benefit local non-profit community-based causes.

ORAA Haiti Relief Efforts

ORAA has set up a fundraising page that will track our combined donations to Haiti relief efforts. After some research we have decided to go with the "Partners in Health" organization which is based out of Boston and is affiliated with Harvard Medical school and the famous doctor, Paul Farmer, who co-founded the organization and has done great work in Haiti for many years.

Make a donation of any amount (even $5 will do!) through the ORAA fundraising page on the Partners in Health website:

Let's show what the power of an alumni association can do! GO BOBCATS!
